a live weather map of conversations
A map instead of a feed. Every node is a conversation thread; it swells as replies arrive and cools and shrinks when they stop. Edges appear when the same people move between conversations, or when one thread quotes another.
In LIVE mode the data is real: the public Bluesky firehose, rendered as weather. Faint dust is new posts nobody has answered yet — most fade, some ignite.
The size toggle is the whole argument. WEATHER sizes nodes by recent activity with decay, so the map shows now. ARCHIVE sizes them by total replies ever — leave it running and watch big cold ghosts dominate while the actual action happens elsewhere.
drag to pan · scroll / pinch to zoom · click a node to read the thread · recenter if you get lost
topic filters the firehose: GAMING keeps only conversations that mention games (keyword-matched right here in your browser), ALL is everything. The translate menu (Chrome) renders the reading panel in your language.
No accounts, no tracking, nothing stored. Your browser connects straight to the Bluesky Jetstream; this server only hands you the page. Translation, where offered, runs on-device inside your browser — post text never leaves your machine.
